"Room was cold. Heater would not heat up past 70°. In room Coffee service was terrible. Had to change rooms because first room smelled of cigarette smoke. Hotel restaurant was less than average. In room sofa was stained. Carpets leading into most rooms elevator were severely frayed."

"When I arrived, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the refrigerator didn’t work, the tub drained extremely slow and taking 2 elevators to get to the 20th floor was not for me. "

"This hotel has a great location on Galveston Island. The Pleasure Pier is almost right across the street. There is a great restaurant and bar next door. The room was spacious and clean and even had a small balcony and a view of the beach! All of this and the price didn't break our bank. We will definitely stay there again."

"The hotel went through a quick cheap remodel. It’s half a motel and half hotel. The bartenders are excellent. The access to the beach made the stay worthwhile. The pictures don’t portray the hotel accurately. "

Needless to say, I will NEVER stay at a Kompose Property again. Marriott and Hilton are much more accommodating when things change."

"My third trip to this resort. Had a wonderful stay and every staff member I encountered were very helpful. Splurge on the gulf lanai villa rooms. You are so close to all the amenities and worth every penny. Beautifully kept beach and pools."
