The hotel was beautiful. A lot of the staff didn't know any English. We went 2 days without hot water. Pool was beautiful and food was really good. Couldn't taste any alcohol in the drinks.

This place was incredible!! It was so dreamy and beautiful. Perfect location, nice staff, great food/drinks, social environment if you want as well. The private room was so amazing. I wish I would have stayed here longer.

The staff was very helpful. We had a couple of power issues a few times and there was a really bad ant problem in our room. The surrounding area was very walkable.

Stunning views, but fundamental service failures and absent management. While Sababa Resort looks beautiful in photos, my actual experience was far from a 'resort' stay. We were left without water from 12:45 pm until 11:30 pm. Not being able to use basic bathroom services for nearly 11 hours is unacceptable at this price point. To make matters worse, management was completely MIA. After sending a WhatsApp message and being told it would take 2–3 hours, they stopped responding entirely. On top of the water issues, many rooms lacked light and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. Speaking with other guests, it seems these 'technical issues' are a daily occurrence here. While the ground staff are lovely people, the lack of leadership and accountability from management is a dealbreaker. You can find the same views and better amenities nearby for a fraction of the cost. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Very noisy rooms on the first floor near the pool. Noise from restrooms, restaurant, and pool area. Non-guests can buy day passes, making it crowded during the day. Pool not very clean.

Check in policy is unclear. The cash policy is listed in FAQ but not noted in the auto message after booking or clearly displayed. It is also misleading when you’re required to leave a credit card for booking. Upon arrival I was told I had to make multiple transactions and my credit card company flagged it as fraud. I had use my limited international cellular service to contact customer service to resolve the issue. Then my room was infested with ants! They were in my bed and suitcase. I had to have my clothes washed. It took 3 days to speak to a manager who didn’t even cover my laundry service. He said this was an expected issue and he gave me Q100 restaurant credit. I expect some spiders but not ants all over the floor, getting into my suitcase and in MY BED.

Very comfortable bed, cute decor, but the lights rarely worked or if they did they were very dim and flickered constantly, we had to use our headlamps in the bathroom for light. There was also quite big ant problem, primarily in the bathroom and shower, occasionally on the counter and the bed. The pool and cafe were great and the staff was wonderful. I booked through Expedia and received several messages saying they only accept cash payment, either in USD or QTZ, not fond of carrying that much extra cash as this was the last stop on our trip to Guatemala, but on arrival credit card was accepted which was a bit frustrating since repeated communication between myself and the property said only cash.

Really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Beautiful view of the lake. Easy walk to the store and bars. You can book a tour of the other villages by boat from the resort, and there is safe parking nearby for a small fee. The continental breakfast included eggs which was nice. The pool area had plenty of lounge chairs and tables and you can order food and drinks. I recommend the hamburguesa Sababa. Overall just an excellent relaxing stay. At might you will hear music from the local bars nearby, but it's not overwhelming

Is a beautiful eco friendly hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only issue is the communication the rooms doesn't have phones you have to use whatsapp and sometimes they don’t respond.
