Staff were very nice and provided great service.
Room space was very small specially the bathroom and shower. Towels were very thin. Elevator was out of service multiple times.

Room was good, its an old building so dont expect perfection, staff is very friendly, this trip was tough because of all the construction around, but we made the best of it. Will be back next year.

The building does have some great historical features but it still was has cozy.
We honestly opted to move to another hotel without complaining. There is the process of remodeling and I hope once it’s completed there will no longer be issues with the AC. This is not a reflection of the staff as they tried to make us feel comfortable

The water and electricity cut off on the middle of the night around 9pm and didn’t turn on until 2am luckily we needed to go to sleep to catch a flight. The staff is very accommodating
The only elevator doesn’t work and the 3rd floor is very loud with AC noises and cathedral bells every hour. This is the oldest hotel in Guadalajara and it shows.
Great location (Centro) well, it is the oldest hotel in the city and built in 1600’s.
Hard beds, bad Wi-Fi, remotes for TV & Air 2 ft from the wall😛
No heating, lots of noise in the evening. Till 10 or 11pm
No early siestas 😝
2 of the 3 nights events in the lobby.
No refrigerator. For takeouts.
But inexpensive. (Under$50)
Just my point of view

The front staff where very friendly and helpful. Make sure you ask for your car well before your ready to leave it takes about a half hour to get your car..I had room 308 on the penthouse floor it was goo, except for what appeared to be black mold on the cieling all along the one side. The shower floor was not to clean and the drain is plugged. The view on the ph floor is great facing the cathedral. All and all it is a decent stay. Beds and pillows are harder than I like. Location is a 10 however.

The hotel is definitely older, but that’s part of its charm and character. We enjoyed our stay—staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Check-in was a bit slow, but we were eventually taken care of.
One of the best parts is the location: just a short walk to the cathedral and many major tourist attractions, with two fantastic cafés on either side of the hotel Cafe Arte and Chai (best breakfast). It’s truly a convenient base for exploring the area.
The hotel also offers helpful services like organizing tours to other areas Tequila, Tlaquepaque, Tonola etc, airport transfers, and other arrangements as needed. In the evenings, they host entertainment such as mariachi, tribute bands, and live music. We attended each event and had a great time relaxing with a few drinks.
Cleanliness could use some improvement, but it was generally acceptable. We visited in July, and it was extremely hot with a noticeable mosquito presence—both indoors and out—so we recommend bringing bug spray. This isn’t really a hotel issue, just something to be aware of when visiting during the summer.
Overall, a pleasant and memorable stay with a lot of local flavor.
The property is beautiful and very centrally located, the staff is friendly and the areas around the property are safe and walkable distance for visitors who want to explore the city. The rooms need to be updated and the bathroom was below standard. There was mold and fungi growing from the walls and the bathtub was broken. There was also a funky smell coming from the bathroom almost like if there was some type of gas (sulfur) coming from the plumbing.

Guadalajara stay
Hotel was nice but wouldn’t stay again. The hotel is located near some clubs and bars so there was loud music till about midnight. The elevator was nice but old and unreliable. The mattress was very hard but luckily with 4 large winter blankets provided by the hotel, It was bearable. The bathroom had open windows which let mosquitos in. I woke up with bites on my arms hands and face.
I will say the place was clean. The staff was friendly and helped with my hard mattress solution. But there is a double tree and holiday in 2 blocks away. Should have stayed there.
There are theee things that you might like, the lobby is decent looking, the customer service front desk and bar tender we’re nice people, and the the solo singer, Pablo and the Mariachi on Fridays Saturdays. Other than that it’s soooo disappointing because the structure inside has so much potential if the owners out some money into renovating this place; but instead certain areas of the wood floor are chipped away and or broken!! The ladies bathroom by the lobby were discussing and from the most cheap motel out there, not cool at all but what’s one going to expect if the one in my room had no closed ceiling, cracked and sort of clogged toilet, crappy shower with a crappy shower curtain. From the get go, the attendant who took me to my room knew the telephone was not working and he never made an attempt to send someone to fix it!! Truly disappointing and poor customer service in this instance. To summarize, the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. I you can, stay away from this place it’s totally not worth your money!!

The hotel is beautiful and clean. What you’d expect for a historical building. However, it was listed as having an elevator. When we arrived we were told that the elevator has not been working for almost 3 weeks since they are waiting for a part that is coming in from Italy. I had my 83 year old mother and handicapped brother going up and down the stairs for two days. Not sure if this is Expedias fault for not updating the listing or the hotel’s.
Staff was great and the location excellent but the hotel could use some TLC which looked like it was getting and new mattresses would be great. But I definitely would stay again.
