「Quiet with great food, staff and comfortable room」

「Breakfast good choice, poached eggs overdone and staff cheerful. Paper thin walls mean you hear every small noise so not great. Lovely grounds to walk in and the nearby Rock Inn pub well worth a visit.」

「Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay 」

「Staff efficient but robotic and lacked empathy. Bedroom tired and the lighting was inadequate when applying make-up. Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! Hot water in bathroom basin very slow in coming through and the toilet seat is misaligned 」

「The room was not very big and the bathroom was very small. The staff were very helpful and friendly.」

「Very cozy cottage, well equipped, very quiet area. 5 min walk to a local pub - food and drink. Lots of small villages with local shops (bakers, butchers, delis, etc.) to explore close by. Lot of walking trails. Parking was easy. Check in and out were simply and without hassle.」

「Bed was lovely nice linen .. basic facilities we paid a lot more then my friends £10 extra to take your dog .. shower was only hot for myself and cold for my partner same for my friend’s.. needed to find a toilet roll from downstairs as only half in the room which wasn’t quite ready at 3:40 .. ok for one night」

「Parking was easy and safe. Location of the property was perfect both for accessing Dartmoor and wildlife spotting (lots of unusual birds in the grounds). Staying at Two Bridges was a treat; it is a unique hotel and has an amazing history」

「An interesting place and not necessarily in a positive way. The, very few, staff working were lovely and very accommodating, and the food decent but goodness me does the place need an overhaul. Dated, scruffy and not on my list to return to. Sad really as it could be a very beautiful desirable place to stay if time and money were spent on it.」

「The sash window was held up with two bits of wood when we entered the room, although cold outside, once closed we knew the reason why, the room had the most horrendous smell even worse in the bathroom. I had to buy 2 air fresheners, but they didn’t help. Furniture stained, crockery chipped and no spoon for making tea/coffee. No breakfast as the kitchen is closed. Positives - towels, when we got them were clean and the bedding was fresh otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed. Thank goodness for only...
