「Our room was "picked up," not "clean." There was long hairs stuck to the bathroom walls and inside the shower from previous guests. Overall, the walls and table surfaces could use a good scrubbing, because there was dirt/food buildup and smudges throughout. In retrospect, I should have just spent the extra $20-$30 to stay at a nearby Super 8, Motel 6 or Best Western.」

「This was the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The pictures online are not this hotel. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was a gigantic wet spot on the couch in the lobby, as if someone just sat there and urinated. I should’ve just walked out. Our room clearly hasn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. There was possibly blood on the wall, a white substance on the comforter, fingernails on the floor, hair on the bathroom floor, beard clippings on the counter, dirty and stained...

「The service was terrible. When checking in there was only one staff member and there was a line. There was also a misunderstanding with my reservation as I had booked 3 rooms but staff could only find 1. The bedsheets were not clean and when I tried calling the lobby to complain no one was answering. 」

「The hostess laughed when I asked what the breakfast was like. I understood why the next morning. Shower was stained, found trash around the room, and the bed was the creakiest thing I've ever slept on.」

「Had real bad weather with tornado warnings, and sirens going off and there was no safety plan from staff. Was told we would go to staff laundry room but they did not unlock it and when asked about it we were told not to worry it only gets windy and there’s never a tornado since she lived there. Tv in lobby was on but went off and they never put back on for us to follow weather. Lack of emergency management training. Just so happens tornado hit Merrillville that night, too close for comfort. 「The exterior of the property was clean. I had to request housekeeping as soon as I checked in. There was crumbs under the desk and under the desk next to the beds. The hallways smelled like a dirty dish rag. Especially next to the vents. Breakfast was great! The dining area was clean as well.」
