Something Fishy in Gloucester

Owner sold my room to someone else and moved me to her teenage daughter's offline attic room without amenities - no wifi password, no guest package, no city view, no hairdryer, shared bath. To make matters worse she told me she couldn't move her other guests who were already checked in - and that was not true. She also said her Expedia/Hotels.com guests did not pay enough to justify refusing another full fare customer. The house itself was okay - not great - but the treatment by both the owner and hotels.com was disappointing. They offered to book me in a motel 25 miles away. No discount. No peace offering. Just continuous reiteration that I was so lucky to have any room in her property. Not what one expects from the hospitality industry. I do not recommend Julietta House. And I will not book through Hotels.com again.

So wonderful I stayed longer

I don't want to brag too much about Julietta House to keep it all to myself for my next return but this is a gem. Susan and Rick are lovely and so helpful in every way making this Inn like staying at your favorite friend or family's summer (or in my case winter) house. Amazing in every way.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful with local site suggestions. Juliette House is in convenient walking distance to Gloucester, the harbor and food restaurants. A lovely historic home; comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed our stay there.
