bring water! there are very limited places to get/refill water bottles. it's hot and dusty in places too, do not wear flip flops.

My wife and I only did the gondola ride and one cavern tour; although we paid for the two cavern tours, since we went kind of late, there wasn't enough time to do both.Some of the rides looked fun, and there were hardly any tourists around at 4 pm, so I regret not doing some rides. You'd have to pay for the more expensive package, though. The views were great on top of Iron Mountain, but I've seen enough caverns/caves in my life and this one was just typical - and for me, thankfully, kind of short (40 mins). My favorite cave tour ever was at Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, TN.

Go during the week if you can. Short lines so we got to do all the rides multiple times. And make sure to do the cave tours - Cole was a great guide and the caves are beautiful.
