"Parking is a nightmare here. Be warned. I went to check-in and they had overbooked the rooms. The gentleman at the desk asked if I was ok to switching to a different room (did I really have a choice? It was almost 10pm). He offered me drink tickets (I don’t drink) to make up for it, or coffee vouchers, then offered to comp my parking which was extremely nice of him because he could have basically said “take it or leave it.” The elevator was extremely slow (frustrating after driving 12 hours), there’s no sound insulation so you hear everything, and housekeeping showed up at my door at 830 in the morning, knocking multiple times. Minor inconveniences. The hotel itself was pretty neat if you like history."

"We enjoyed our stay in one of the suites. We had fun using the waterslide, hot tub, and pool. Breakfast was pretty basic continental offerings with juice, coffee, waffle maker, sausage, eggs, muffins, cereal, a yogurt dispenser, fruit, etc. Our room and the hotel were clean and had all the basic amenities. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel is older so don’t expect brand new or updated furnishings. We were pleased overall and loved the location as it was near the base for several of our excursions."

"We had a very good experience staying here. The property was located easily and provided easy access to the town. The daily breakfast offered a tasty variety each day, too. There were several activities within walking distance. The room was spacious for my family of 4. The property was clean and staff was very kind and accommodating. We did not have access to the hot tub in site due to it needing maintenance and our pool needed attention. But we were given access to the hot tub and pool in the neighboring hotel with just a short walk through the parking lot. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel."

"From start to finish my interactions about this stay—and the stay itself—was top-tier. The location was perfect to walk into town, the hospitality and kindness of the host Derek was appreciated, the options for food and drinks on the main floor were plentiful, and my room/bathroom was clean/comfortable/safe/well-stocked. I’m already trying to figure out how to get back up to Glenwood Springs and stay here again!"
