"The location is amazing! I knew making the reservation the location would come at a cost. The convenience to all the major attractions in the Gion neighborhood made the price worth it. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms on the fourth floor have deep bathtubs to soak in after a long day of sightseeing. "We had a very nice, large, twin bedroom facing Lake Biwa. The room had a couch seating area and was still large enough for us to comfortably keep to big suitcases open in the room and easily get around. Breakfast service was good, with a variety of Japanese and Western dishes available. We also used the Club Lounge in the afternoons for tea and in the evenings for drinks and canapés. The staff were excellent, very friendly and professional. The hotel provides shuttle bus service to & from Otsu station plus there is a local tram line within a 5 min walk. The Lake Biwa cruise boat dock is within easy walking distance. "

"Great location but still was quiet at night. Super easy to get to all main locations in kyoto. The room was huge and plenty of room to open luggage. I liked how the toilet was separate from the shower. "
