I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed my experience from start to finish. The location was perfect—convenient, easy to access, and close to everything I needed. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made me feel comfortable right away. The room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the cozy bed to the thoughtful amenities. It was clear that the hotel takes pride in creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere for guests. I also enjoyed the overall ambiance of the property. It felt safe, well-maintained, and inviting, which made my trip even more enjoyable. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel offers great value and a very positive experience. I would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

Clean room, amazing location which has a lot going on! One thing is that it can be loud, I didn’t have an issue with this but my friend did. They supply earplugs though which was very thoughtful! Had a great stay!!

Cheery colorful decor. Wonderful neighborhood for great food of all kinds, friendly pubs with trad music, lots of boutique shops. Staff all friendly and helpful. Only derog is rooms are quite small. I will return for great lodging in Galway

Excellent location! Several pubs, restaurants, and shops literally outside the door. I read lots of previous reviews from others complaining about the noise at night, but it did not bother us and wasn’t extreme. If you want a quiet place with no noise, you shouldn’t be staying in the heart of this entertainment district/neighborhood in the first place. Rooms and hotel were very clean, and nice free breakfast. Rooms were a little small, but to be expected in a historic 600 year old hotel in a historic fun vibrant area. Highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in the heart of Galway.

Vi skulle skifte værelse efter 1 overnatning, da der kom VVS. Det var ok, men vi forventede at komme på lignende værelse. Nr 2 nat foregik i et endnu mindre værelse, i en mindre seng, med en mindre dobbeltdyne. Med 2 store kufferter var det svært at finde sig på plads. Det var koldt, men ikke muligt at få varme på værelset, da termostaten ikke kunne indstilles til varme, da de var sat på sommertid. Vi fik tilbudt et varmeapparat på værelset, men det var svært at få plads til den og der kom yderst flabet kommentarer fra chefen. Vi fik til slut en meget stor dobbeltdyne, som vi skulle finde plads til på det lille værelse samtidig med den anden dyne og stadig 2 store kufferter. Man var ikke samarbejdsvillig på trods at at vi accepterede at blive flyttet rundt på. Der var ingen form for kompensation andet end en flabet kommentar. Musik fra gaden er der masser af, men det generede ikke. Fint og charmerende hotel, men oplevelsen gør at Galway ikke gav et godt indtryk.

This is a very small property in a 700 year old building. That being said, my wife and I had a nice stay. It is located conveniently in the Latin Quarter—right in the middle of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. It is easily walkable. There is no elevator and the stairs are steep. My wife and I are in our 60s so this presented a bit of a challenge, but the young lady who was present offered to help. We declined, but appreciated her willingness. The room we had (Shakespeare) was small but comfortable. The bed is comfortable. The air conditioning worked but could not be adjusted. The bathroom is tiny, but workable. We had breakfast included which was continental style. It met our needs each day just fine. While not a five star mega hotel chain, the experience was fun and the location couldn’t be beat.

So grateful for the instructions to find parking beforehand! Nice location. A little noisy from nearby bars but nothing too crazy. If you travel with a-lot of luggage look elsewhere as there’s no elevator and plenty of stairs. Highly recommend!

Tiny room in a great location

Tiny room but a great location. They warned us that it would be noisy but it wasn’t too bad. Everything was a bit dated but the bed was comfortable and the staff nice.

Heart of the Hustle and Bustle

We loved our stay from beginning to end. The staff was kind, resourceful and the room, while small, was charming and clean. The location of the hotel couldn’t have been more perfect, with perfect access to the water, West Galway and cheerful barkeeps in the Latin Quarter!

7 Cross Street is right in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Galway making it a fun (although noisy) and very walkable place to stay. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly, though sometimes hard to locate. The building is old and our room was very small, but they provide interesting historical information for the building.
