We've stayed in "nice" hotels around the world. The lobby of The Basics is stunning. One of the most beautiful hotel spaces we've seen. Tokyu Stay Hakata
Excellent stay close to Hakata station. Room is smaller than average for the price, but the in-room washer/dryer combo was excellent. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the shower was OK. Towels and hand towels were very small and low quality, however.
