Very clean hotel. Staff were kind, welcoming, and offered a lot of help and suggestions for the surrounding area. The hotel is about a 15-20 min walk to the train station and is close to restaurants. The “Mt. Fuji view” room is definitely worth it.
During construction the outer room is a kind of cold that doesn't warm well, blazing hot or frigid like you're outside in January. Onsen is very toasty. Hospitality was generous, heaters, bathroom were not well or at all insulated. So from San Diego to Mt Fuji is colllllld, so be mindful of that's what you're looking for it's rad location w/ free shuttle to/from station. Try wagyu burgers in town!! Onsen outside & inside are lovely, body products OUTSTANDING w/ massage chairs, drink station w/ hot coffee is very welcoming. Just cold or your sweating. Maybe it's a construction during winter issue, the temps...mostly awesome just be prepared for 25 degrees at sunrise. Lovely memories.
It’s a very nice, Japanese style hotel. We had plenty of space (unlike other Japanese hotels). The hotel has a decent onsen as well. They also provide Japanese breakfast (ok, mot great) and Keiseki dinner. Very close to the lake, yet a bit far from the crowds of tourists. Not many dining options around (we ended up with take-out ine night). Overall, a nice and convenient hotel.
Hotel on Kawaguchiko lake. Staff very helpful and happy to hold luggage before check in and after check out. Cool Japanese style room with two toilets. Provided bottled water and free drinks in the lobby. Onsen was relaxing. Two nights was the right amount of time in this area.
Love this hotel. Staff give exceptional service. The outdoor hotspring is amazing. A fireplace in the lobby and easy walk to lake and convenience store. A few restaurants nearby. Easy taxi ride to train station etc. Rooms are lovely.
The staff at this hotel is very friendly and approachable! Even if you don’t speak Japanese, they will be accommodating. The lake is very nice. The station is a little far, but their shuttle service is very easy to use!
Good hotel to explore Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji area. Transfer via shuttle bus (for free), contact hotel in advance. They also have an onsen (seperate men/women).

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff were very service oriented, property needs a major facelift.
It was a relatively small hotel compared to many big ones around Kawaguchiko, but it felt homey and comfortable. Staff were courteous and provided excellent service. Hotel guests can use washer/dryer for free!
Definitely will stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The hotel was a little bit old, but well maintained and clean. The amenities were great (hot springs, massage chairs, free drinks, and washing machines). The only minor complaint is that the hotel is about 1.2 km from the train station and the hotel shuttle to the station only operates twice a day (9 and 10 am). It's a little inconvenient, but manageable.

It was ok. A bit old and not in a good way. I’ve stayed at other hotels that have traditional Japanese style rooms and this one didn’t measure up unfortunately. Service was excellent though. They also were so accommodating with their shuttle service. The onsen was just okay. I would not stay here again.
