Top Fujikawaguchiko Hotel Reviews

La Vista Fuji Kawaguchiko

10/10 Excellent

"This is a spa hotel. They ask you to change into, not expected to, lounge/spa clothing which once passed the shock, was lovely. Onsen on site was extremely nice. One thing I will say was book dinner as soon as you arrive or before as we tried to but the restaurant was full and everything else was closed as it was a Sunday, so no dinner for us. The alternative was to wait for supper at 22:30 for ramen, which we did. Breakfast was superb and faultless."

Wakakusa no Yado Maruei Ryokan

8/10 Good

"Beautiful, Quiet Room with Great Views — But Service Doesn't Match the Price The room was absolutely beautiful and very quiet, with a wonderful view. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and both the Japanese-style breakfast and dinner were excellent — some of the best food I had on the trip. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the service level: at $600 a night, I'd expect more personal attention, such as help with luggage and being escorted to the room. Those small touches were missing, and at this price point they really should be standard. Overall, a lovely stay, but the service needs to catch up with the price tag."

K's House Mt.Fuji

10/10 Excellent

"Best place I stayed at in Japan, even compared to mid-budget hotels in Tokyo. Staff was very friendly. They also have bike rentals which was very convenient. Highly recommend to bike around lake Kawaguchi. Only small downside is that depending on what kind of room you reserved, they do not provide towels unless you rent them for 100 yen. Amenities like toothbrushes, etc you also have to pay for, but not a big deal at all. Revered a traditional Japanese room and slept on a small futon on the ground. It was such a great experience. Met some cool guests as well. Overall, I would love to stay here again in the future."
