"The pictures are super old and the rating is surprising. The staff was sweet and did offer an upgrade after I spent my first night sneezing and coughing all night since there was a very strong smell and had to keep the windows open but their dusty blankets gave me an allergic reaction. The staff is nice but the facilities were old and not well maintained. Also the special bath they have on-site smells like onions and there are multiple chipped tiles. "We chose Mystays Fuji Onsen Resort based on reviews and it exceeded expectations! Stunning Mount Fuji views and the top-floor onsen with mountain scenery was incredible. Everything was spotless, restaurant had excellent breakfast and dinner at great prices, and the surrounding area is beautiful with plenty to explore. Convenient bus service to Tokyo Station for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!"
