「This property is literally at the edge of a gorgeous mountain, surrounded by lovely birds and calm nature. You can't put a price on amenities like that! You could pay more to stay at the nearby historic Limpia Hotel (and that's where you will probably eat, since there are very few dining options in Fr. 「The Maverick greatly exceeded expectations. The room was truly excellent and spacious. Well stocked with things a first class hotel would have. Very convenient location. The maverick will be our default stay every time we're in Alpine...my home town (AHS '64 &. SR '68). We were glad the Holland Hotel was available until 8 pm for checkin, as we were rushing and would have missed the 7pm noted on the Maverick paperwork. 「It is a beautiful HISTORIC property so don't expect all the conveniences of modern buildings. It is well worth the sacrifice of some of those conveniences to enjoy the peace and beauty of the building. The train does come through multiple times day or night, but we found it interesting to watch. We enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard and walking around the area. Such COOL murals all over town! Staff was very friendly and everywhere we walked people seemed friendly as well!」
