Lupe is amazing at the front desk and with booking! We can always count on her to help us get our bookings when we need them and she is a pleasure to work with. The hotel is beautiful and friendly staff makes it a must stay!
The hotel itself was great! We had 2 rooms, one of them did have a loud A/C unit that made a loud noise. Luckily we had one in our group that was hard of hearing and worked great for her. The parking lot wasn’t enough for the way others parked! Needs better parking.
I liked the staff that was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

This was a mixed experience. the location of the hotel is great and the history is interesting. The staff members were polite and kind. however, our room had carpeting and an old toilet that both needed to be replaced. The ice machine went out a few weeks ago and there had been no effort to fix it.
Location was under renovation but it is a historic hotel and the carpet was going to be replaced and our AC went out but they quickly moved us to a new room . Will stay again on our next visit as our son goes to college there and it’s in walking distance to the university.
Lupe was incredible and has always been incredible to work with. Our team travels often to Alpine and we ALWAYS choose to stay at The Holland because of the wonderful staff and the accommodations. They are friendly, professional, and amazingly helpful. We are so grateful for Lupe!
We enjoyed our stay at the very charming Holland Hotel in Alpine, Texas. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants and enjoying the beautiful days there.
Easy and friendly check in. Feels more like a hybrid fact/hotel hybrid. Rooms were clean and dining area/check in was clean. Wish this had more and hope the area around gets rebuilt to bring more dining options that complement the hotel. The service portion is there- very friendly. Hope century bar and grill or a breakfast location opens nearby.
The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and quaint. If you are used to air conditioning, the rooms are cool, each room have individual units. Cooling can be inconsistent. Parking is very limited. Restaurant is closed and no swimming pool. There is a cute courtyard to enjoy your morning coffee. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will come back.
Charming period hotel beautifully maintained. Beautiful lobby. Quaint, comfortable room. Nice downtown location within walking distance of shops and restaurants
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was dirty, bed had several broken springs, property needs work. Staff was friendly and provided options and solutions.
The history behind the hotel and the beauty in keeping the historical features intact are what drew me to this property. The town is small so parking wasn’t a problem.
Coffee & pastries were promised for breakfast however after getting up early to get some I was told they were out. This was at 6:30am. I asked if they would be getting anymore and was told no.
The staff was welcoming and the hotel was clean. It is very old but that is part of the charm. We stayed up in the studio and you do need to carry your bags up a couple flights of stairs but the room is great.
Arrived late and did not have the opportunity to explore much, but really enjoyed the ambience of this clean historic hotel.
Desk attendent, Reign, was a sweetheart and took very good care of a couple of weary travelers, with recommendations and a room switch due to faulty heater in room #1.
Will be back when bar/restaurant are open after remodel.
The bed was super comfortable no problems with noise seeing the passenger Amtrak was amazing never seen one before didn’t even use the earplugs overall an amazing stay
