"Such a cute little town and amazing staff. Was driving around Scotland and stayed one night in Inverary. Had a lovely dinner in The Pub after check-in and watched some World Cup with the best Guinness Pie I have ever had. The staff was super friendly at check-in, at the pub, at breakfast, and check-out. Perfect location right on "the strip" of all the shops within walking distance of Inverary Castle. Cool hotel with lots of character. The only issue was a few large flies getting in the room, but this was likely the summer weather and we had this same issue at a few other hotels needed windows open for ventilation. Bathroom was spacious and would definitely stay here again!"

"The hotel and architectural style were excellent. The staff was as helpful as they could be. I liked the size of the room and the amenities in the room. I feel that saying there is parking onsite in the information on the website is misleading. There were only 6 parking spaces available to all the guests staying at the hotel and it is on a first come first served basis. Not cool. Just don't say you have parking for guests because you really don't. Also the hours of the spa are not meant to accommodate guests only staying for 1 night. The spa closes soon after check-in time and does not open until check out time. So if you think you will be able to enjoy this amenity with only a 1 night stay you will be disappointed like I was."

"spent two nights here in Oban in June. 2026. absolutely loved this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat. It's a very old building but the rooms have been renovated beautifully keeping the charming old features. pro tip. try to book room 6. it has amazing views and an ensuite. being an older pub hotel, you do get a private bathroom, but it is separated from your room by a few feet In a lot of the rooms. It's only a 5-minute walk to downtown Oban. make sure you go to the docks and get a huge serving of mussels fresh off the boat for £8. at a little green Shack right on the dock. They have a fully equipped kitchen downstairs. what I loved was the fact that for a very reasonable price you could buy food such as eggs, bread, yogurt, etc. for just a few pounds. They also had two fridges for customers to use. the staff were absolutely lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be staying the next time we go to Oban. which we will because we absolutely loved the town."
