「Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. 」

The young lady (who seemed quite new) on the reception desk was very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help, despite being honest that she was new and it might take a little time to sort a few things. 「The place is old, but not an issue. But the sheets weren't really clean and found a pubic hairs on my pillow. I slept in my day clothes. The facilities had free parking. I parked and asked reception during check in if that's the right place to park and they advice me yes. After return home from my business trip, I get a parking ticket from the hotel. I provided my receipts and prove I actually stayed there but yet they still insist to charge me with debt collection. Two night stay was...

「 My room had a slight issue with the curtains but the very helpful staff moved me to a bigger nicer room which was spotless. The Bed was super comfy and everything worked well. Town centre is just a few minutes walk away with plenty of dining options. Plenty of free on site parking available and breakfast in the morning was superb.」

We later had dinner in the restaurant, with a nice selection of dishes and again a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
