Clean and quiet. Had planned on cooking more as Iceland is so expensive, but didn’t as purchasing spices, condiments, etc would have cost just as much and would have had to be left behind. Soooo thankful for the blackout curtains and WiFi as our phone didn’t have service.

We loved our stay at Sea side cottage. We stayed for 4 nights at the end of March. The property was in lovely surroundings and is very well presented warm and cosy. The kitchen had all we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable and warm. Excellent communication from our host with clear directions to the house and a thoughtful guidebook in the property. It’s worth being aware that the bathroom is down a very steep shallow set of steps and might be tricky for small children or if you have mobility problems. We loved our stay and would definitely return if fortunate enough to come back to this stunning country.

Das Cottage ist sehr klein aber sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Es war alles da was man brauchte. Allerdings ist das Bett für zwei Personen viel zu klein und dass das Bad nicht komplett abgeschlossen war führt dazu, dass keine Privatsphäre vorhanden ist. Daher nur 4 Sterne. Vermieterin ist sehr nett und sympathisch.

Amazing home in the perfect location

Absolutely perfect from start to finish. Couldn't have asked for more. Good detail prior to arriving which meant getting to and entering the property was simple. Beautiful finishing touches to every room which felt really homely. Some other reviewers have mentioned the size... the house is small-ish, but it is perfectly formed. Felt like plenty of room for our family of 4 and had everything we needed to feel at home and enjoy our stay. The beds were again a little on the small side but were incredibly comfortable, as even my 6 ft 2 inch husband had a good nights' sleep both nights. It doesn't have a shower but instead a beautiful bath tub which is very relaxing. This is a stunning home set in a breath-taking location, a stones throw from the beach. Perfect location for exploring the golden circle and the south coast.Thank you Sea Side Cottages!

World’s coziest cottage!

This the world’s coziest cottage! We stayed here for 3 nights, and although it’s in a very, very small town with no stores and only 1 restaurant, we loved it! In Iceland you MUST have a rental car, so the remote location is not a problem. In fact, it’s pretty close to many of the beautiful Icelandic attractions. About 10-15 min drive from Eyrarbakki is the town of Selfoss with several supermarkets and restaurants. We would defininately stay here again!
