We stayed here for one night, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis while sleeping under the open sky. It got cloudy, so we didn’t get the spectacle we were hoping for. However, this didn’t diminish the experience of sleeping among the trees in a cozy, warm bubble. It was –2°C and it even snowed during the night, but the warm air blown into the tent, two blankets and an electric blanket made sure we stayed perfectly comfortable. And luckily for us, we did get to see the northern lights on our drive up to the parking lot beforehand.

The bubbles are located up a short hill in the forest, the service hut is excellent - very clean, warm and facilities to make hot drinks, greeted by friendly host who explained how to get up to the bubble. They felt very private once we were there as they were a good distance away from each other. They had heated mattresses and we stayed in October and it was cold even with the mattress but we came prepared for this with extra layers. It really is a once in a lifetime experience we amazingly had a clear night so were able to stargaze seeing shooting stars through the roof of the bubble and to top it off we saw the aurora too. It’s an experience and we would highly recommend it but pack warm clothes if going in the winter!

Facility was a bit different than I was expecting. At $400/ night I thought we were going to a luxury glamping experience. The actual Bubble was fun and warm. Bed very comfortable. However, the rest of the facilities were not as expected. The parking is quite a way from the Bubble. You also have to climb a long, steep stairway which is about 20 steps. There is no way to take your suitcase up those stairs, so grab what you need and just take that with you. Once at top of stairs, depending on which Bubble you are in it is another 100-150 yds. BATHROOM FACILITIES - leave alot to be desired. The main bathhouse is at the parking lot, so forget about using that one when you are at your Bubble. There are other toilets at top of stairs, but way to far to go if you need facilities in the middle of the night. At bathhouse in parking lot, there are two showers. There are 9 Bubbles so that is 18 people who need to bathe each morning. Luckily we were the first ones there. There is no where to wait why you are waiting for your turn. Everyone has there suitcases open by their cars trying to grab what they need for the showers. Showers are very tight, no room to prepare. If it was raining or snowing, this whole experience would be a mess. While in your Bubble there is a comfortable bed, but no where to sit but on your bed. Would be nice if there were a few chairs outside Bubble. No outdoor seating anywhere on property. So not even a bench anywhere to sit. Not a $400/night experience.

Unique experience! You walk up a magical path through a forest of trees and little lights and fake candles to your designated bubble in its own secluded spot. The bed was comfy with beautiful extra wool blankets that we didn’t need because it was so warm inside! Looking up through the trees to the sky was amazing. There are clean toilets with sinks and mirrors halfway there too. In addition, there are more toilets and showers at the bottom of the path by the parking area where you check in. There is also a place to wash dishes if needed and get coffee and lots of towels for the shower. We were greeted when we arrived and left by four Icelandic horses and their foals next to the parking area. We were also greeted by very friendly staff upon our arrival and departure.

Worst “Hotel” Experience Ever – Stay Away!

I was in other bubble hotels, but this one is the worst one ever! I honestly cannot understand how this place is even open for business. Calling it a “hotel” is a joke! -Filthy conditions: The bubble I stayed in was dirty from the start, with stains and dust everywhere. There were tears mended with glue or something. Clearly no proper cleaning is done between guests. Also cold - both electric mattresses didn’t work! - Shocking lack of facilities: Imagine 20+ guests with only 2 toilets to share — no hygiene, no comfort, just endless queues. Totally unacceptable. -False advertising: The pictures make it look like a magical experience, but in reality it felt more like a cheap camping ground that hasn’t been maintained in years. -Zero value for money: For the high price they charge, you expect at least basic cleanliness and functioning amenities. Instead, you get frustration and disgust. If you value your time, money, or health — do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs! I wish someone had warned me before booking!

The property is beautiful and quiet. We love to see horse on the property when woke up and paid us a visit outside the tent. The tent itself is cozy and comfortable. Highly recommended for people visit Iceland.
