「The photos on the website are nothing like the hotel itself. Some areas have been painted and the room carpet and decor are clean but the hallways smell and the carpets are ancient and worn. There is no bar, no food at all. We booked two nights and the room wasn’t serviced during our stay. The bathroom is ancient and in poor condition. Booking in was straight forward enough but they wanted a payment card handed over so that they could make all the entries instead of putting a card through a card reader. When we arrived we had a very warm welcome and throughout the stay our 2 dogs were made to feel relaxed and happy. 「Great location. The hotel is almost next door to the railway station. The room is clean, warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no lift and the staircase is very narrow, which made carrying four suitcases upstairs a real challenge.」
