「They had just took over ownership and the whole town just went through a flood yet they were friendly and even with us having our 2 dogs with us (which is the hardest part of our trips) was a quick but decent stay.」

「The advertised amenities didn’t match the property. The swimming pool shown on Expedia was not available at the hotel. Additionally, the air-conditioning in our initial room was non-functional. When we requested a room change, the staff accommodated us promptly, though they expressed surprise at the issue, insisting the room had never presented problems before. While management was ultimately helpful in relocating us, the initial dismissal of our concern was disappointing.」

「To visit the caverns, we have to choose a hotel in Carlsbad. There was not much options out there. Everything was OK here, with an unfair price though. However I would assume there hardly is a better option around this area.」

「The property was “okay”. This was my 6th hotel stay in a row and one the most expensive. Worst pool out of my stays. The pool walls are filthy you can rub your finger on the wall and a thick layer of scum is there. The hot tub was clean. My room was decent and it was clean. The breakfast was your typical, but more decent than some. I don’t think the cost was worth what I received compared to other hotels. I only spoke to a staff person checking in and it was brief. Beds were comfortable.」

「We enjoyed the historic vibe, but with modern restoration. The food (dinner and breakfast on site) was excellent and we enjoyed chatting with the chef and hearing some of the history the hotel.」
