Hyatt Place Iowa City Downtown

"My wife, me, and our 12 year old grandson had a very memorable stay at Hyatt Place. As a retired custodian, I found our room impressively clean. The staff were both curious and helpful. I recommend (if available) paying for the underground parking. My grandson and I had a blast swimming in the indoor pool (which I also found extremely clean). Big windows and electric privacy blinds. The view from our room was such a bonus... In addition, after you get settled in your room, I recommend ordering from the famous Gumby's Pizza. Their Poké Dipping Sticks are like no other! You are guaranteed to enjoy a solid ★★★★ breakfast in the morning as well. We even found time for a quick nap and another good swim before checking out. Overlooking a few minor details, for the price, I give Hyatt Place FIVE STARS ✨️ hands down! We will definitely return in the near future."
Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel & Conference Center

"There was only one person handling the front desk, she was was on a long phone call helping with a reservation when I arrived. This had me and the others in line waiting quite a bit to be checked in. Lots of staff was around and walking behind the desk but no one else jumped in to help with customers. The pool area was nice, the room was older and smelled like smoke but was today and breakfast needed more options. The hotel did the job for a 1 night stay but it wasn’t anything to write home about."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful. One downfall is we couldn’t check in until 5:00. Kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast. Rooms are spacious with great views. We also love the location."

"Great location. Bathroom sink had a leak - reported this to the front desk. Lowonda - was excellent in keeping the breakfast area tidy. She is such a hard worker and kept this pace each day we were there. Disappointed there was no bread options for toast. Photo of the breakfast in the elevators were a bit deceiving. Waterpark was great and enjoyed the hot tub."
