「I had a lovely room, I was surprised breakfast wasn’t included/offered. Staff were friendly but I couldn’t get internet which may have been just me. I was on my own and wanted to plan my next day, couldn’t even get 4G. Not even in the bar. Young lady said it was a bad area??!! Plenty parking and lots of people eating so food must be good. I just had (a very small) portion of chips. 」

「The location was great for our purposes and the parking was good. Breakfasts were excellent, there was a nice patio and garden out the back. Well-run family B&B. The principal negatives were the noise (our suite overlooked the main road) and the very spasmodic Wi-Fi. At this price point it was disappointing.」

「The dolphin hotel - great value for money and excellent location with a 2 minute walk to the beach ! I came here with my partner and 2 dogs and we had a wonderful time the bar and restaurant has been refurbished and has a great atmosphere I was initially worried about he negative reviews but we found out it is now under new management, the staff were amazing and very welcoming and couldn't do more for you the rooms were basic but clean great selection of teas coffees biscuits ect replenished...

「Excellent Hotel. Great staff and good parking onsite if available. The breakfast was really good and a reasonable price. Terrific place if you want to do the Coastal walk as the bus stop is just up the road and the walk brings you back past the hotel. Evening food was a reasonable price and good quality.」

「Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜」

「Absolutely loved our weekend at the Dower House! Amazing location surrounded by nature, the building is so beautiful and our room was huge and had every comfort. All the things you don't find in chain hotels are here - four poster bed, comfy sofa, coffee table and chairs sat amongst a wonderful backdrop, dark and quiet at night for a great sleep. And not to forget the amazing and genuine owners, Tim and Rosemarie, and Teresa who served a great breakfast 」

「When we walked in the room at 9.45pm the room was freezing cold, we found the radiators and turned the heating on but at 11pm the heating went off and didn’t come on again until the morning which meant we was cold all night. Plus there was a clear draft coming through the main front door and from the bathroom. When we looked around the room there was black mould by the front door and around the bath. 「Mixed review. The room was clean, even if a bit dated. The bathroom could have been better for the room rate. The mira shower was similar to the one I had at home more than 20 years ago. The pillows were firm and of poor quality for a room costing over £300 per night but the bed was comfy. The longe area had a fabulous sea view and was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The parking was easy. The breakfast was a bit sparce for £40 but cooked very well. We would stay again if on the area.」
