"I arrived at this motel in the middle of winter - very much out of season - to find it in the middle of being remodelled, so there was no office or any staff present on my arrival. Actually it looked as if it might be closed, and there was no key out for me to do self check-in as explained with the booking. However, I found a bell to ring and after just a few minutes a nice man came down and gave me my key. The room itself was clean and spacious, with a very comfy bed, kitchenette and plenty of hot water for a shower in the morning. Plus the heating was quite efficient so I managed to warm the room up despite the extremely cold temps outside in Jan at this altitude! I rated it Good not Excellent due to the slightly quirky check-in."

"Unique, cozy, beautiful views, and forced/friendly interaction with other guests enjoying outdoor spaces set up to enjoy the sunrise/sunset. Ideally located, the lodge is a surprise gem for a place so close to the highway. The sprinklers however detracted from our stay with an alarming and hard to identify noise in the middle of the night, waking us up by hitting part of the window or the AC unit. Sleep is important!"
