"Front desk staff were extremely helpful and kind. Our room was ready early which was also very nice. It ended up being terrible weather during our stay so we tried to book some spa services to stay out of the weather. The spa didn't answer, but then did call back to inform us they didn't have any staff actually on site and would have to call them in. They couldn't actually tell us if we could book an appointment until the next day and asked us to call back. The next morning called back to try again-but no answer. We had breakfast in the lovely dining room-decent food and very nice waitstaff. Also had dinner in the lounge. The cocktails were delicious, but the food was so-so. There was a large conference and I think the kitchen might have been overwhelmed-food took forever to come and was just not great "

"Stayed for 4 days- room cleaned 1x. They offered a $35 daily credit toward food, which seemed great. There was a private event for 3 of the days and the roof top bar was not open nor the resturant. They serve a limited menu in the lobby as people rolled their luggage by bistro tables. The busiest time was in the morning and the cafe was only open 2 of 4 days and the “to go” coffee was short staffed for all 4 days taking 20 min for a coffee. "

"This is a ‘no frills’ option; but if you are sightseeing like we were the bedrooms had everything you needed. Bring earplugs as you are on a busy corner. But you are SO well situated to walk to all the sights and get the metro to/from Dulles and bus to Georgetown. Would happily stay here again. The staff were all extremely helpful "

"The hotel was great. About 6 blocks from the White House and a mile walk to the Washington Monument. The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive to us. Always greeted us with a smile. We ate dinner about two times and it was great. We had espresso in the morning with Carlos and he was very attentive. "

"It feels like you are staying in a large brownstone. Very clean and good vibes. Very quiet. No dining or snacks available. A great place to stay if you don't need much but a place to sleep. In walking distance to alot of things. "

"The location of this place is very convenient, close to everything, within walking distance. Helpful, friendly staff. clean room. The building itself is old, historic, and a bit run-down, with no amenities. But I booked a week for a business trip at a reasonable price and am happy with what I got. They have the rooms renovated at least, so you get a comfortable, clean place to stay after all. I would consider this place if you are on a budget. You get what you need. Reading the reviews before I arrived, I panicked a bit, but it is actually a comfortable place for a 3-star hotel. "
