「First, we brought three large pieces luggage for this long trip. The hotel offered us a room on the sixth floor without helping us carry our luggage or even telling us how to go to the sixth floor. The highest floor the elevator could reach was the fourth floor, so we had to carry our luggage a long way up to the sixth floor using the stairs, and the next day, down to the first floor as well. Second, I’m a VIP member of Hotels.com, and the website clearly stated that this hotel would provide VIP...

「This is an old motel but kept in excellent shape. The maintenance/carpentry is excellent. First time that I've seen crown molding in a bathroom. The bed is comfortable and my wife loved the pattern on the comforter. The location is beautiful, right on the bay, and there are nice benches all around to soak it in. There are no restaurants within a reasonable distance that are open before 10 AM but you can get pastries and coffee within a few miles. We would stay there again.」

「The room 」

「Checking in was not with real staff but rather by a visual computer screen and by a person who spoke with an accent that is difficult to understand. There was a staff at the front desk but did nothing to help unless you asked for. We didn’t feel welcomed by this procedure. The same process was with checking out. Hotel is close to freeway and a busy street so it is noisy. However, the room was clean and spacious. There is no elevator.」
