「I understand this was an eco lodge. However, there is no air and little cross breeze. Our bed was broken, there were not enough towels (only 3 for 5 people), we were encouraged to shower by turning the water off while we used soap, the pots and pans were so dirty that some could not be cleaned. The worst was that the staff was unprofessional. They did not communicate effectively, they were dismissive about simple requests (like "how to check in") and once we did check in we NEVER heard from...

「We liked the room and liked the location - just steps to the Farmer's Market. This is more of a note to Expedia than to the Hilo Downtown Inn. This is the second place we have rented through Expedia that didn't tell us we'd need to negotiate stairs. My wife has trouble navigating stairs. I think the property and Expedia have an ethical and perhaps legal obligation to inform potential renters about the stairs.」
