"Delughtful hotel! Our room was great, and we loved the roof top onsen. The breakfast was amazing, with a lot of local options with descriptions, which is always fun to try. We also had parking for our car, this was at an additional fee. Great area though, easily walking distance to the main streets and alleys."

"A short distance from Takayama Station within walking distance. Excellent service include free flow of ice pop and a bowl of simple ramen as supper. Onsen view overlooking northern alps during clear weather. Pte onsen usage could have improved by booking slot to prevent time slot over run served as a reminder. During my stay, encounter a foreign couple being inconsiderate who occupied more than 1 hour. "

"We vwey much enjoyed experiencing a Japanese ryokan and onsen. Meals were unique and the attention to every single detail was impressive. Lastly, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Seigo."

"Located about a 30 min walk from the bus terminal, the hotel runs a silver van shuttle every 20 minutes or so. This is a newer hotel, but has many delightful traditional elements. The whole place has a tatami mat like flooring, so shoes are left in lockers upon entering. The lobby area is built with old looking timber in the style of gasho buildings. The rooms were wonderfully done with the nice smell of tatami. The baths are wonderful with both interior and outside tubs in a variety of styles....

"We’ve read the reviews of other people before the visit and we did not know what to expect. We stayed at the property for two nights and we were quite happy with our stay. Dinner and breakfast were very good, private onsens were amazing. Private onsens could use a good scrub (that was the only con for our stay). Access is via a bus from Takayama 1.5h - plenty of walks around. "

"Beautiful cultural experience. Having your own onsen and choice of the public onsen was very nice. We did not think the seiki breakfasts and dinner were worth the astoundingly expensive price. I would next time not book the meals, exorbitant cost at nearly $300 each time"
