My family LOVED this place. The room was very large, clean, with excellent views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the public baths. It was nice soaking in the mineral waters after a long day walking. It relaxed my muscles. Breakfast was really good, too. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!!!

We only stayed for 3 nights, but it was generally fine. Nice size room, only downside is the door to the actual room must be very thin as we could hear EVERYTHING out in the hallway. Front desk were kind to lend us umbrellas. We didn’t have any meals at the hotel, so can’t comment on the restaurant.

Top class service

Excellent stay at Hotel and Spa Gift Takayama, perfect for a first time visit to Takayama. The location is great, super close to the train station as well as the main historical streets and great restaurants. Great amenities with a rooftop onsen after a day of sightseeing. Service was top class with super helpful staff, during the stay but also after, as I forgot something in our room and they went above and beyond to help me find it back despite servaral hours after check-out. All in all a great stay in Takayama.
