「Great hotel with a great location!」

「We booked a second-floor room (219) in advance, but when we arrived the front desk told us the owners had taken our room and moved us to a first-floor room (118) instead. No one seemed concerned about the inconvenience or offered any meaningful accommodation for the change. Being bumped from a room we specifically booked—and learning the owners simply took it—showed a complete lack of respect for guests. We were assured the replacement room would be quiet. It wasn't. 「This was our first stay in DC and it was so nice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. The Fire pits outside were so relaxing to sit by at the end of the day. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to any need we might have. Would definitely stay here again. The Lodge is centrally located so made it easy to get around Door County quickly.」

「Wonderful location and beautiful grounds that are well maintained. The private beach access was a definite plus. There was plenty parking and many shops and restaurants within walking distance or short car ride. We would stay there again.」

「Loved the location. This is a good location to visit other areas like Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Washington Island, etc. We loved how close we were to the lake. Beach wasn’t big but it was great to have one so close for the kids. Pool wasn’t huge but plenty of room. Great breakfast and try the Fish Boil at night.」

「Good location, but the place is not as clean and modernly updated as advertised. WiFi worked on and off over our stay, kept cutting in and out. Carpet was old and had an odor to it, photos online were pretty deceiving to reality when we arrived. We made it work though.」
