"Our ocean view balcony room met all of our basic needs. Restaurants and shops were plentiful in the downtown area. The view of the ocean was as pictured with cruise ships visible. The major setback for us was the exceptionally loud music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights with the commensurate activity going on well into the early morning. Parking in the area is also inconvenient."

"The room was generally clean although a bit dated. The staff were friendly and mainly multilingual which impressed me. This hotel is located in the middle of everything you need so the location is ideal. Check in and out was a breeze. The one thing I didn’t like was that they asked us to not take off the AC. As someone from The tropics, I don’t like consistent AC/coldness and there was no area that you could retreat from the cold. "

"I truly enjoyed the resort. There were enough pools for everyone. The water park was a nice addition. We arrived on Tuesday, left on Friday and our room wasn't cleaned once. They did bring towel though."

"The resort was exactly as expected and more! Loved the vibe of our non-luxury suite, walking out to our outdoor patio for coffee, relaxing on a bed by the pool, so many beautiful plants, birds, and a beautiful iguana “Iggy” who loved sunning himself in the afternoon! The restaurants, bars, beach area and the little shop by the beach area were great! But the best part of our entire stay was the staff! Everyone and I mean everyone was kind, welcoming, engaged in conversations and were always hoping we were enjoying our stay. The front desk staff were always helpful, especially Mayron who went above and beyond to get my husbands cell phone back to him after we realized when we were at the airport that it was left behind! And the maid that cleaned our room every day, she was always bright and cheery and always did an excellent job!! We have traveled a great deal. Many resorts aim to please and are polite. But we could definitely say the people at the Kontiki were authentic and genuinely kind! We could not ask for a better place to stay and will definitely come back and recommend to others!!!! 💗💗💗"

"Hire more employees to get guests checked in. We had to wait an hour and 20 minutes after the check-in time of 4 PM to get into our room."

"Super friendly stuff. The room location was perfect: right next to the pool and the beach, walking distance to shopping center and Downtown. The food is amazing! We truly had a great time!"
