"The hotel is alright, but it could use a bit of a refresh. The housekeeping and front desk staff are friendly. Just a heads-up: the room phone doesn’t work for calls, so you’ll need to head to the front desk to get what you need. The kitchen/breakfast area wasn’t quite up to par for me. I understand the staff might be a bit frustrated and a bit short-tempered, especially with so many people and not enough staff. They only have one server at the omelette station where the bacon and sausage are, which is a bit of a setup issue. Plus, there’s no meat outside the buffet, so you’ll have to wait in line for that too. The line is pretty long. I suggested to my kids that they grab what they want at the buffet, and I’d get their omelette. Two of my kids were in line with me to get their dad and grandma, who can’t stand for 30 minutes because of a medical issue, but the staff probably didn’t realize it. The person in front of me got three for her kids, so I figured I could get some for others in the family. I think I might have misunderstood the sign about one omelette per person. It seems like they want the person to be present in line to get the omelette, which could make the line even longer. The person behind me got upset and confronted me, which was a bit frustrating. I’m not sure what the management’s thinking behind that. Maybe it’s a cost-cutting measure. If the bacon and sausage are out of that station, perhaps we could just skip the omelette."
