The room was great, especially the view to the river. Check-in and check-out was very easy. They can hold the bags for you after check-out. In terms of the quality of the room, no complaints. The biggest drawback is that you need to cross the road to the other hotel to eat, there's no microwave or fridge in the room, and the hotel doesn't arrange transportation to the Denali National Park so you need to pay for transportation ($10 per person) if you dont have a car. Highly recommend having a car if staying here.

The views from this property are fantastic and it's a great location. Room was just ok. Ice maker was very helpful, wish there would have been a mini fridge and or microwave.

Location is beautiful, bathrooms are well maintained and room size is good. Staff is excellent, courteous, responsive and kind. They do have an onsite food truck( good food) but rest other amenities are across the road.

We were very happy with this hotel. Staff were helpful, room was very clean, and we were fortunate enough to have a river behind our balcony! We had an incredible view of the fall trees and could hear and see the rushing water. Our second story room had a high ceiling and wood interior was perfect for Denali. The only downside was that the train is fairly close and we did hear the whistle once at night (this was nothing compared to our horrible experience in Anchorage at a hotel with train whistles all night on both sides of the hotel). I wish the rooms had a microwave and fridge - we used our balcony as a fridge since the temp was right. They did let us use the microwave in the store to make microwave popcorn. We enjoyed Thai food from the food truck in the parking lot.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grizzly Bear resort so much! The room was beautiful and very clean. The bed was really comfortable. We loved having a balcony overlooking the Nenana river. We enjoyed eating at the Thai food truck on site. The resort is really close to Denali National Park. It has a nice gift shop with snacks. The staff was great. The housekeepers were very sweet. It's a great place to stay!

Our room was right by the river. And you could see the train pass by on the mountain across. Amazing location. They have 2 food trucks on the property and they were open until 10 pm (we visited in the last week of July). Heating, and water temperature in the shower was good. Please out more soap bars. At least 2 per day. They were very small, round and flat, and 1 is not enough for 4 people for 2 days.

Very expensive for the accommodations. Our expectations were high. Mattress sides exposed were ripped, meaning we didn’t go searching for it. Something is wrong with the sewer. The smell of sewage was lofting around our building A which is right next to the RV dumping station. We stayed at 5 different properties in Alaska. This was 5 th on our list of satisfaction.

Free wifi for only 30 minutes per stay, then expensive hourly and daily rates. This is unheard of (and unacceptable) in 2026. It is not due to technical issues because another establishment across the street has extensive free WiFi even in the village plaza.

Grizzly Bear is centrally located. The hotel/campgrounds are nestled into the woods bordering the Nenana Rv and mountainside. The views are spectacular. The train tracks run along the river but the whistle isn’t a big issue. The room itself needed some minor repairs. The beds were comfy. Try your best to get a second floor room (I tried and failed) or you will listen to your upstairs neighbors walking around and their kids jumping off the beds until all hours of the night and early morning. Parking is limited so it can be an issue. If spots were better identified, people may park better and thus create more spots for others.

The room was clean however, i believe we were the first day of the season and felt the room needed to be aired out a little bit.It seemed a little musty. There was plenty of parking and beds were comfortable. They do not serve breakfast
