This place is wonderful! Off the beaten path, quiet, and beautiful. Kids were able to play outside safely. The fishing was great this past weekend. The stripper were running the shad in to the shore and having a feast. The staff was so nice and informative. I’m 63 and it reminds me of being with my parents in 1972 and I had to smile. Also my bed was so nice!

I absolutely love everything about it ! It truly brought back time how the original Fla used to be where everything isn’t manmade. It felt like home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The water view was so calming and beautiful. We enjoyed our quiet night surrounded the fire pits. The bed was comfortble. You could walk on the deck and watch the sunset. We didn’t go to the pool but my kids did they had fun and ,played basketball at the court. It was a good old fashioned fun ! Oh and there are grills avilable everywhere by the room and picnic table as well. I would definitely go back. Can’t wait for our next trip w we can grill up some steaks and use the pool !

This place is a scam. It's a 1960s motel in the middle of a run down trailer park. The room was dingy and had never seen a renovation. The stove was brought over on the ark. The linens had been washed a million times. I couldn't sleep in this room - I lost 3 days of fees and cut my vacation short in embarrassment that I been taken in by the listing. By the reviews it's clear that somehow the owner has figured out a way to delete real reviews. Unfortunately this review will likely not be posted for long. Too bad, this place is awful.

We found this lovely, out-of-the-way haven quite by chance during a busy Bike Week in Daytona. The peaceful, relaxed setting definitely won us over, and the friendly staff and guests were so welcoming. We really loved the retro vibe of the room and the property, something that's hard to find nowadays. It really is a perfect spot to unwind after a long day of sightseeing and activities. I'd highly recommend it to those looking for a quiet and cozy spot to relax and enjoy the weather.

This is an “old Florida” motel. The rooms were very clean and the people friendly. There is a food truck for lunch and music on the weekends. Beautiful property. Would definitely stay here again.

Initially the room looked clean and well stocked. We only stayed about 30 minutes at check in and then left to explore DeLand and then meet up with family. Upon arriving back to the hotel room we saw a baby roach on our suitcase. We weren’t sure what it was so we grabbed it and set it on a nearby side table. We then killed it and within a minute another one was crawling around on the same side table. We thought we smooshed it but apparently not and it must’ve crawled away. Upon examining the table we opened the drawer and there was a 3rd baby roach dead in the drawer. About 5 minutes later we saw another (smaller than the second roach) crawling on the top of the table and definitely killed that one. We decided to leave and tried to contact the hotel staff by using the ring doorbell that is assigned for after hours use. We tried twice and got no answer. We left the keys in the room and drove the almost two hours home at midnight, not arriving home until almost 2am. I called the hotel this morning to let them know what happened and all the man who answered the phone said was, “oh, sorry about that”. No other questions or concern regarding our stay. We have lost out money for our stay along with cancelled plans for today and what we paid for a dog sitter. It’s very disappointing that no resolution was offered and there was no level of concern whatsoever. We do have plenty of pictures for reference.
