"Our stay at Casa sul Mare was one of the best stays we have ever experienced. We were warmly welcomed and treated like dear friends from the moment we arrived till departure. We were there the night before a cruise and due to the many positive reviews chose this property. We were so glad we did. The location, the beautiful, clean comfortable room and especially the warm welcome made our stay memorable. Our hosts, Loris and Amara were so hospitable and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Loris even fixed my husband’s watch. The breakfast was delicious and the setting was as though we were in someone’s home. Wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely return. "

"This was a perfect stay! We texted the host with our arrival time and she met us at the door. Our room looked over the street and shopping below with a lovely view. The room was spotless as was the private bath across the entry hall. She gave us a cared for a wonderful restaurant nearby and chip for fee drinks! We picked this location because it was near the port, but she explained the the port was very large and the actual walk with our luggage woul be about 2km. For a very nominal fee, she transported us to our cruise ship and assisted with our luggage! When we come this way again, we would happily stay here! You need to be aware that this apartment is on the second floor (3rd floor US) but they will led a hand with luggage. "

"Check in was a bit of a challenge, especially taking all the photos of us and our passports. Plus my credit card payment for the city tax needed several attempts before it was finally processed. It was a challenge navigating the stairs to the guest house with our suitcases because the stairs were made of stone and somewhat slippery. The bedroom was very large, which was nice. But we were supposed to have a harborview and all we had was buildings and the street. The bathroom was also large but the shower was in need of a good scrubbing because of mold in the tile grout. We booked this accommodation at the last minute because our other hotel in the port was damaged in a fire. It was overpriced for what we got. I don’t think I would book this type of property again."

"If you are cruising from Civitavecchia, this hotel is ideally placed to stay before you board your ship. It is located centrally in the city with plenty of great restaurants nearby and is also close to the shuttle service from the city to the cruise terminal. The hotel is in an old building, but was very clean and comfortable. The staff made us very welcome and covered all aspects of our stay at check-in. Would certainly recommend this hotel to provide an easy time the day of your cruise departure. "
