「The George hotel is historically stunning!! The entire hotel holds so much beautiful character, from the sitting rooms to the restaurant. The restaurant is also gorgeous, overlooking the river and their lovely gardens, not to mention that the food was very much fine dining for a low price.」

「Set in the grounds of a golf course, the room, part of the Courtyard area, was exceptional. Set on 3 levels, the bedroom was on the top level with wall mounted TV, then a seating area below that and a second TV, and the bathroom below that.
The only negative for us was the heavy quilt, which was too hot, and the soft pillows, offering little support.
Breakfast was excellent. It was ordered from the menu. However, a buffet offering fresh fruit, pastries and cereal would be a useful addition....
「Very friendly lady at the counter. We travelled to Newcastle recently for the Great North Run. The lady (I am so sorry for not remembering her name) had plenty of suggestions about how to get to the venue. She even let us keep the car parked after our check out. The location is very good as well. Buses and Metro available within a short walking distance. Great value for money!」
