Great place for sleep and shower, no frills
The room smelled fresh and linens were clean. It is obviously an older (probably at least 30 years) motel and had some cosmetic changes due to its age and outdoor room entrances. Staff very nice and I thought it was a good deal for $75. It is however, next to the freeway and with the normal aging process and being an outdoor entrance, the rooms are obviously not sound proof. The AC was quiet and efficient. Again, very nice place for bed and shower, no frills.

Surprisingly comfortable
For a cheap motel outside Chicago it was amazingly comfortable. Even though it was right off the highway it was quiet. The bed was comfortable and water pressure was great. The restaurant/ bar next door was friendly with good food.

Horrible experience. Staff is so rude. Go somewhere that the staff treats you kindly. Don’t give your money to these people that’s all they care about.

I understand your frustration with this property but we had no confirmation from Expedia to cancel your reservation. We hold your room until next day 11 am. We could sell that room to someone else but we were holding that room as we supposed to. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Travel nurse after 3 weeks of bad hotels I found this one. The bed is comfortable, 4 pillows! Room is super clean. We’re very happy her and will continue to stay here 3 days a week until the contract is over. Thanks for the comfortable, affordable room

Property lied&still charged me after cancelliing!!
After bring discriminated against, I found Starway Inn and paid ahead of time! This property was filthy snd scary looking, so I let them know I was cancelling before the deadline at 4 p.m. & they still charged me for the property! I would really like my money back, please!

I also talk to expedia and they told me reservation was never cancelled so we hold your room until next morning. charge was done next day morning. you came to hotel and said it was paid for. we are setup as hotel collect. none of our reservation is paid ahead.

This a great budget freindly hotel. The staff is nice and room was clean. All facilities worked, what else can you expect for the price? Sure it's an old property and won't win any beauty pageants, but it checked all the boxes for what I needed.

Peaceful Weekend
It's a motel. I have no major complaints. I stayed there for a peace of mind, and it was definitely peaceful, no bed bugs, the shower wasn't the best, the freezer wasn't clean, but like I said I got what I came for.

I don't recommend for anyone, their disloyalty was shameful, they charged me over 40 bucks cause I checked in 2 hours early, I booked Quinn bed non-smoking but changed to king bed worse than tobacco a weed disgusting smell very disturbing due to that I couldn't turn the heat though it was cold.

Pretty good. Actually checked in on Friday, Oct 07. The room wasn't as clean as I expected, but overall the stay was good. We ended up with a different room on Sunday, Oct 09-Oct 10, when we checked out.

Quite but uncomfortable
When I checked in the guy was really friendly. When I checked out the lady was rude. She got upset because I asked her for a receipt. The room overall was ok. We could not use the shower or tub faucet because both were broken. The bed was like sleeping on a pile of wood. I had surgery on my spine so the pain I was in the next day was unbearable. It is located in a quite area, but I will not stay there ever again.

Much better than my first impression
I was a little worried when I first pulled in because it looked a bit desolate, tucked up under the shadow of a freeway, but the person at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I ate at the restaurant next to the hotel, which fixed a very fast and tasty fish sandwich and had friendly wait staff. My room was clean - I appreciated the linoleum/hard floor rather than carpet (which tends to hide dirt, grime, more). The TV had analog reception, which meant - or at least seemed to - that the picture quality wasn't great, but I was able to watch "Cloverfield" on HBO without problem. The internet worked just fine. I slept soundly. The only problem in the morning was trying to break open the shampoo packet, which was in a plastic packet like you'd find ketchup in at a fastfood restaurant. But this did not open easily like those do, but rather required me to dry off my fingers and use a key to bust it open. Okay, I may not have the strongest fingers in the world, but this seemed way beyond child proof in terms of difficulty in opening. In the bigger picture, this was a very small thing and I appreciate the fact that they're cutting down on plastic waste by using such packets, even if they have a bit of a design flaw. Overall, solid, restful stay.

Not in the best location but it is right off the highway so convenient for a quick overnight stay. Staff was extremely accommodating and gave us no trouble switching our room when we accidentally booked a smoking room. Rooms are clean with fresh linens.

NASTY hotel from hell
There was still dirt and grime from the last guest in the tub, there was one flimsy sheet on the bed on the full size bed and a thin threadbare blanket. It looked as if someone had peed in the tiny freezer and it had frozen. This place is disgusting and I'm closing this account because this site recommended it.

Air con would shut off most of the night so very hot. Run down feel. Unlimited unblocked hard core pornography was a surprise on the tv so beware with children. Smoking allowed so my non smoking room surrounded by smokers

Stay was okay, Nice little motel. could use some updates for furniture & mattress was lumpy but otherwise okay, Staff was nice. There is a dorm fridge & a microwave, I wish there had been a coffee pot. It was a quick trip for me & hubby. It will do for the price & cleanliness.

Clean and good service. Room service was extremly fast and efficient. Beds were a little worn down but the pillows were fluffy and soft. Next door to a local pub. Within a mile of food and stores. 30-40 min drive to downtown chicago depending on traffic.
