「Loved the facilities and room :) we had a great 3 day stay. Only thing we didn't like is the TV not registering hdmi so we couldn't watch any movies during our down time after hikes and swimming, and the live TV didn't work often. Other than that we were mostly outdoors and exploring Peak District but coming back to a clean room and relaxing in the hot tub and pool was great. 」

「A fabulous property within the Peak District National Park, serving good food & beer, but also easily accessed from Sheffield too. A short drive from the Ladybower Dam for Dambuster fans & the Snake Pass for those who may enjoy the drive to Glossop & back !」

「The name says it all this is a lovely old hotel in a great location. I had an overnight stay after seeing a show at the Opera House opposite the hotel. I booked a double room and was given room 32 on the 2nd floor. A spacious room with a lovely bathroom which had a great sized walk in shower. The bed was comfy and I had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was adequate but a little disappointing there was a small selection of cereals and juices, the cooked breakfast was buffet style, not my...

「From the outside the pub doesn’t look great but inside it’s lovely. Rooms were clean and well furnished, and breakfast was tasty, although we found the menu a little confusing, as continental is included but you cannot for other items. Staff were really friendly and the pub had a great atmosphere. I’d stay here again if I was in the area.」

We travelled early in the week in low season, so the pub understandably wasn't open on Monday and Tuesday, Also there is very poor sign for mobile phone and data and we were unable to get the wi fi password, which made contact for work a bit difficult.
