We always love our stay at Lloyd Hall. Angel took care of us with a great breakfast and even made our four legged babies a couple of pancakes. It’s so so peaceful there ..

I fully enjoyed the accommodations. The host even left me a breakfast sandwich each morning in my fridge because I left before breakfast was served. I’ll be staying again bc of the convenience, peacefulness and accommodations, along with being close to my work location.
Our stay was magnificent! The owners were quick to respond to every question or request we had. The sugar cane fields were getting harvested so that was an added bonus to our stay. The Commissary is comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was served each morning upon request and was quite tasty. Angel is absolutely precious and a hard worker. No doubt we will stay here again and refer any friends or family who visit the area.
If you love history you can really appreciate this place so I loved being there I believe everyone should at least stay there once and embrace the history, silence, and experience of being able to walk around something so beautiful and antique that still standing
Loved the delicious breakfast prepared by Ms Beulah and our morning conversations! She is very knowledgeable in the history of the house and does a wonderful home tour.
Very serene and peaceful, great pool, but cottages are incredibly outdated. Everything was broken or didn’t work. Holes in the walls and ceiling. Incredibly overpriced.

An Historical Experience
If you are interested in the history of Louisiana and its plantation life, Lloyd Plantation is well worth a visit. It stands out as a grand structure among fields of sugarcane. As with any historical site, it isn't in pristine condition but it is comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and speaking with those serving it.
Spending our night all alone at a Plantation was amazing. We felt very safe and secure in our own 1800's mansion. We enjoyed a glass of wine one the second floor porch in rocking chairs watching the sun set over the farm fields.
The ladies made a delicious breakfast and provided a history of the property.
We found the plantation when I was looking for places to stay near Alexandria for work. I brought my little dog with me so I needed a place that is pet friendly. We were so excited to find Loyd Hall plantation. We were the only ones staying there that night. It was a very nice experience. We are planning a return trip for longer. Ms Beulah took the time to show us around the big house. She told us so many stories and facts about the house and furniture. And about the ghost stories! She was truly amazing.
Too cold to evaluate the pool.
The plantation was in the Louisiana countryside, surrounded by sugarcane fields and stately oak trees that contributed to both the sense of history and haunted reputation.
Once we were settled in, all staff wete gone and we were alone on the property. On a full moon night, it was both serene and spooky.
We loved it!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Lloyd Hall Plantation! Beautiful, historic, and charming place. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing. We stayed in the Magnolia Cottage, but would love to check out one of the suites in the main house next time. Highly recommended!!!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
We love staying here. Love the cottage and the main house!
We found several mouse droppings at the head of the bed and no back up pillows or blankets to fix it ourselves… the droppings stuck to the blanket so that makes me wonder if you even had someone come out to check to make sure our rental was clean… since it in fact was not clean.
