The next day - I could explore the wall and the small town on my own. The accommodation was nice and the family that runs the hotel/homestay was really friendly. I am a vegetarian and enjoyed generous portions of good food while I was there. I also organized a taxi back to Beijing after my two night stay with the owner. His father drove me to the train station in a really nice electric car - so 'taxi' doesn't really describe the high quality of the car and very pleasant drive. I recommend staying here. "

"Although this property is far from any amenities, it was easy to catch Didi to get to places. Closest airport is PEK and an hour to Great Wall. This property is not in a walkable area to any shopping or dining. There is a great coffee shop and restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was a full array of western and Chinese options. Food was top notch. "

"I stayed here for 9 nights, and it was very comfortable. Rooms were pretty big, quiet and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a glass enclosed shower along with a full-size tub. Water temperature was perfect. Laundry service was also great. The staff was very helpful and professional, but there is a bit of a language barrier when it comes to communication. But the use of a translator really helped. I loved the robots located in the lobby. The onsite restaurant was great, but some of the food was a little lukewarm. They need to up the temperature of the heating pads to keep the food nice and hot. Coffee was excellent. You can also walk to the Wyndham hotel which is just about next door and enjoy the restaurants there. Overall, I give it a 5-star rating. I would definitely stay there again. "
