Fabulous all around. Only slight issue was that our shower and tub were very very slow draining. This did not present overflowing problems or any adverse effects, but it was just something to be aware of in case the water level did get too high. I encourage you to stay her a few nights in a row as it is just an amazingly beautiful place with lovely hosts.

Lovely place The staff were great and waited to us after check in due to airport delays. The place is beautiful and the terrace is amazing. Small but nice breakfast and very kind hospitality.

This is a small fabulous hotel close to Ciampino airport. For our last night l, I wanted one more taste of Italy - this is a winner. The hotel is exposed beams, charming details and genuine Italian people. The restaurant next door was the surprise, incredible food and an old wine cellar converted to a fabulous taverna. Wine by the pitcher and portions that are large by American measures. It was an incredible last evening in Italy.

Very clean modern and spacious. Set on top of hill ,great views from the pool. Option of a lovely fresh ala carte breakfast and good coffee. Still not fully opened but a great package when finished for a quiet comfortable break. Good parking available and so very quiet to relax properly.

This B&B and the hosts were absolutely amazing. They deserve 5 stars for their beautiful villa as well as their efforts to make sure you have everything that you need when staying with them. The breakfast included cold cuts, ciambelloni, tortas, nuts, breads, juices, coffee, yogurts, fruits, milk, biscotti, pastries and more. They even made eggs for my wife who is on a restricted diet. Our room was incredibly clean and cozy. None of the fixtures or furniture were worn or shabby and in the...

Nice room and great location to the airport shuttle.

Friendly accommodating staff Large clean room

Dont be fooled, its a long distance from the airport. But very nice and quiet relaxing enviroment. Shuttle service through hotel is best. Taxi is 30euro.

Just perfect. Just 1/4 of a hour to reach the metro. Next to the airport but extremely quiet due to the no flight zone from midnight to six. Very good Italians restaurants next to it. It s already decided, my next week to Rome will be at this hotel!

Villa Abbamer is like a little museum with interesting art and objects around every corner. We would have liked to explore more, but our stay was brief. Very comfortable and quiet room. Friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay.

Although my taxi driver from Rome got lost even using the gps. But when he eventually discovered the hotel, it was perfectly nestled within this idyllic Roman medieval village which hosts the Papal summer residence. The hotel is overlooking the Alban lake. The view from my room has a breathtaking view of the lake on one side and the neigjbors' houses on the other side. I was kindly upgraded by a very helpful staff which adds to my resolve to go back. The staff ably arranged a taxi service which...

This is my second stay, my first was 11 years ago. The hotel has deteriorated in the past decade with no obvious signs of refurbishment. I love the property. It is so beautiful! I haven't seen a bad room yet and even when we stayed in a separate building, we had a beautiful view. I enjoyed my stay but there were a few issues. The staff is spread too thin. The bartender is also the waitress (she ran in to make our drinks and was quickly gone to finish dinner service). The front desk/phones are...

What a great surprise! We were looking for a hotel in Rome for our stay in Italy and couldn’t find something we liked that would be in our budget. We came across this hotel and read in one of the reviews that it is half an hour by train from Rome. We decided to take it. What a great choice! The hotel is just what we wanted; an authentic feel, a welcoming crew and beautiful view of Rome. The train ride (given no strike happening) is short and about 2 euros each way. The town, Frascati, is a gem!...

Really modern hotel, great bar and restaurant. Large spacious rooms, tastefully furnished. Friendly helpful staff, easy commute to Rome (30 mins to Roma Termini). We looked at staying in Rome, but the hotels there did not have any available parking, and I was driving a rental car. Also based on the pictures on websites the hotels in Rome seem to be old, poorly maintained and they charge premium dollars based on location only. If you are willing to add a half hour commute each way then this...

We needed to find a room for our final night of 2 weeks in Italy. We had a rental car so it had to be within an hour drive of FCO airport, have safe parking, yet offer something new. Looking at a relief map of Rome, we noticed an old volcano with a lake in it. Hello Lago Albano. On the south of the lake is Castel Gandolfo, and the Castel Vecchio Hotel. Expedia helped us book a "Room with a View" at an otherwise full hotel. The room overlooked the lake and the towns around it. It was exactly what...
