"Staff were polite and friendly, and check-in was smooth. The rooms were as shown in the photos—no surprises there. However, by the time I arrived for breakfast at 8:30 AM, many items were already gone. Refills were slow, and some items—including plates & pancakes —were not replenished at all, which was disappointing. Given the number of guests, they should have been better prepared. "

"The king suite was very spacious and accomodating. We had everything we needed, even a separate large TV in the private bedroom. The toaster oven was a nice surprise. The indoor pool and hot tub were a bonus. This was a great value compared to other suites we've stayed in."

"The Billy Barker hotel was an amazing place! The food was great; the location was convenient. The ambiance of the Gold Rush era was all around. We had a medical issue at home and had to cancel our second night abrubtly, and the desk person said that she would see what she could do (I booked through Expedia). My receipt showed the one night only. Very much appreciated!"
