"Absolutely incredible stay. We done 3 nights and didn't want to leave! The place was spotless, incredibly homely and comfortable. There were even complimentary cakes and wine left for us. Honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. Our toddler loved having goats on our doorstep and walking down to see the pigs. "Wow! What an unbelievable place! Me and my fiancé (I proposed during our stay) just got back from the best few days at Cariad Pod. The facilities are amazing, everything you could need and more. Regarded as one of the most impressive castles in Wales, visitors to Carew Castle can trace the structure’s history from Norman fortifications to when it became an Elizabethan country home owned by Sir John Perrot, possibly an illegitimate son of Henry VIII, before its eventual abandonment in the 17th Century. Several notable features have resulted, including earthworks created by Royalist defenders during the Civil War and window frames dating to Tudor times that were made of imported Cotswold stone that stands out against the local limestone used for the rest of the building.

"Well first of all, it is in a beautiful location surrounded by lovely green fields. Next our room was amazing. Great bed, lots of room, large shower. The shower had lots of water pressure and lots of hot water! We slept so nice it was hard to wake up in the mornings. Next came the BEST English Breakfast! The House is located next to so many wonderful places to visit. Minutes from Prembroke Castle, Carew Castle, and Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The staff really went out of their way make us feel welcome. Besides the breakfast, they made sure we had maps, directions, and even where to do go for Sunday Roast. There were plenty of information in the room about the area and all of the attractions. We will definitely return and hopefully be able to stay for a much longer period because we know we just scratched the surface. Wonderful place and wonderful people!"
