I like this resort, all would give it 5 stars, but not the sales staff at check-out. Overall, the experience was very good. From front desk service, restaurants to room services. However, one experience significantly affected our impression. We joined Tour, where the sales team introduced the resort membership. I understand this is part of their job, and although it took up half a day, we were respectful and understanding. At the end of the tour, we bought one $299 discounted future-stay voucher. The staff repeatedly tried to persuade us to buy two, suggesting we give one to family or friends. We politely declined, saying we wanted to try it first. What made us uncomfortable was that we were repeatedly asked, “Don’t you have family and friends?” This question felt inappropriate and created unnecessary pressure. Unfortunately, the same situation happened again at checkout. After confirming our room number and asking about our stay, another salesperson again pushed another $299 membership for family, and repeated the same question: “you don’t have family and friends?”This left me very uncomfortable, what’s the answer for this question? especially at checkout, which should be a positive final moment of the stay. I understand sales goals and respect the effort of the staff, but this approach—especially using personal questions to pressure guests—was unpleasant. The aggressive sales behavior at checkout significantly lowered our overall impression of an otherwise excellent hotel.

Resort is so big, shuttle carts were not so convenient. Only one Italian restaurant food was good. Most restaurants food not meet standards. Specially the MOMO Teppanyaki, hardest to make reservation, the food was cold and all small portions - a half bowl fired rice with 6 pieces beef cubes. The marking signed us for a new facility presentation for 1.5 hour, but it took about 2.5 hours, spending half day to push to buy their membership.

Sales guys drove us crazy. Won't leave us alone in selling a come back coupon that they sell for $399 US. DO NOT ATTEND the presentation it ruined the whole day We opted in for Dolphin show and they didn't provide clear instructions on pickup and we have to pay additional out of pocket to make it to our show. While mistake can be attributed on both sides equally their out right refusal to help paying customers was an awful experience

Love all restaurants, the drinks are really good!! They had clase azul and 1942 for an up charge. Don Julio reposado and way more liquor options included. The arcade is also all inclusive which in many other resorts they are not. Some pools are also heated with is a plus for me. Overall very good resort!

unfortunately i had a disappointing experience. One of the main issues was the lack of halal food options. As a guest with specific dietary requirements, I expected at least some consideration or clear labeling, but there were no suitable choices available, which made dining very difficult during my stay. Another major inconvenience was absence of elevators. Carrying luggage and moving between floors became exhausting, especially in the heat. This is something that should be clearly stated beforehand or addressed to improve guest comfort. Additionally, the transportation within the resort, such as the golf carts, was extremely slow and unreliable. We often had to wait much longer than expected, which wasted a lot of time. Overall, the hotel has potential, but these issues significantly impacted my experience. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving them for future guests.

Unfortunately my family vacation at moon palace was not what we hoped for. We booked this family trip in Jan 2026. Upon our arrival it I was advised by check in that my room was at a different property 15 minutes away. Needless to say this was very upsetting seeing that I am a senior citizen and wanted to be close with my family. Their only solution was for me to pay an additional $1000 and I would be able to have a room close to my family, which was not the case. I was four rooms down.. however this is not the only situation that has discouraged me from making a repeat trip. Lounge chairs at poolside were never available. We discovered ants in the room on the second day and the most important thing no one mentioned in the advertisement that there was no elevator and we needed to walk up three flights every day for a senior citizen, this could be very troubling. I am in the process of requesting my thousand dollars back and have reached out to my financial advisor to assist me in this matter you have a response to this will be very appreciated. Thank you.

Do not spend your vacation here. Within one minute upon arrival we were basically forced to do a tour of the property to get “credits”. The credits are restrictive and we could not use one dollar. They then sat us done for two hours to get to pitch the sale of becoming a “member”. The initial price started at approx 70.000 US Dollars by the third salesperson the price went down 80%. Total scam. The hotel false advertises. We literally did not eat for two nights. Instead of explaining how their internal three hotel system works they were focused on selling weeks to us. I spent more time on the phone trying to get a reservation for dinner then I did ever eating. Out of 16 restaurants they could not accommodate a family of three with a young child until 9:45 every night - yet you go to the restaurants and they were empty. The entire 300 acres and three hotels were old and outdated and constantly a mess. Upon arrival our room was filthy and we were greeted by a dead roach under the tissue holder and a bathtub that was so dirty we used it for our dirty clothes. The beds were horrible, the pillows and lines were stained and did not smell fresh. We had an ocean front with a king size bed and a roll away bed. The roll away had dirty wheels and a base next to your head. The staff was flat-out rude at all times. We resorted to room service and we tried

Overall, our stay at Moon Palace Nizuc was great. Our two pre teen sons loved it! The food was good, pools were awesome. Rooms were cleaned. But mostly service was wonderful!!!! It was nice having the multiple resorts to go between. The only downfall was the ocean, it was stinky and dirty... But the beautiful pools made up for it! Also quick trip to and from airport so that was nice too!

This trip was very enjoyable, everything was great, except for one thing: the hotel beach had a lot of seaweed that hadn't been cleaned, so you basically couldn't swim in the ocean.

Moon Palace was amazing. Our family had a great stay. The pool and beach were amazing. We went deep sea fishing and had a great time except for the 10 foot waves. This is a great resort and highly recommend it to everyone. We will definitely return for another spring break trip.

We negotiated a room upgrade from Garden View to Sea Facing using credits from the membership presentation. The process was handled poorly by staff: Lack of Communication: They wouldn't tell us where the new room would be, and it wasn't assigned until the next day. Inconvenient Location: Our first room was perfectly located near the lobby, pool, and front desk. This "upgraded" room is much further away, a detail the front desk completely ignored. We were so tired of moving that we didn't want to change again, but the distance is a daily annoyance. Poor Bed Quality: The room came with a King and temporary beds. For anyone with any height, these temporary beds are way too small and uncomfortable.
