My family and I recently stayed at the Grand Park Royal Cancun for our summer vacation, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations. Having had a wonderful time during my previous visit five years ago, I was truly looking forward to this stay. On the positive side, the hotel's location is still excellent, offering beautiful views and convenient access to the beach. Moreover, their drink selection was decent, providing a small solace amidst the disappointments. However, the decline in service and food quality left us thoroughly dissatisfied. One major safety concern was the lack of floor mats or anti-slip padding around the jacuzzi area. Both my son and daughter suffered unfortunate accidents, slipping and hitting their heads on the marble floor tiles. I strongly suggest that the hotel takes immediate action to prevent similar incidents in the future by implementing safety measures in such high-risk areas. Another letdown was the significant decline in the quality and variety of food since my last visit. This aspect was one of the highlights during my previous stay, and it's disheartening to witness the evident drop in standards. This hotel is everything you’ll think it’ll be and more. The beach was steps away from our room, the pools were very nice and the adult pool was there if you wanted a more quieter relaxed experience away from the other kids. The food was mid but that’s what you usually expect from an all inclusive serving around 5000+ people at a time although that Italian restaurant was really good. Unfortunately the hot water did end up going in and out in our room but ended up fixing itself, the toilet got clogged and we called someone they came immediately to fix. I can say this hotel cares and takes care of their customers! I would love to come back and visit!

As a family of 4, with 2 teenagers, we had a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Everyone at the hotel makes us feel very welcome and comfortable. A big THANK to our butler, Jorge. He was amazing and helped us with every need we had (restaurant and beach reservations, transportation, etc.). We recommend this hotel 100%. The size of this hotel was perfect for us (it was not huge, but it was not small either). The food was very good and fresh (perhaps not many options in the buffet restaurant, compared with some other hotels, but again, it was good). The a la carte restaurants, we enjoyed them all (but you need to be a little patient in some of them because the service might be a little slow).

Amazing location. Large wide beach. Soft sand and chairs easy to access. Bars far when on beach however they provide service to beach. Restaurants are amazing. Great choices. Good quality. Service was excellent. Great views and rooms are well apportioned

We didn’t get the room we paid for. Restaurants were closed and reservations were needed on the first night at the restaurants but we weren’t told that. The food wasn’t very good at the buffet, which is the only place we had to eat during those times. We had no information about the resort in general. We weren’t even given information on the WiFi. It was specified airport transportation was included and then we had to pay for it. Only 3 restaurants and the buffet were included in the all inclusive and then they had restaurants closed for private events during the stay so our choices of places to eat were very limited.

There was a lack of communication that let us without not knowing what to do and how to guide ourselves throughout the hotel. The food was ok in most places, but service was very slow and inconsistent throughout the hotel. We had a very bad experience with hotel service where it took over 3 hours and my wife was intimidated and coerced by the night manager. The hotel has apologized for the situation but still that left us very disappointed in general.

The staff was so welcoming. Cielo greeted us upon our arrival and explained everything to us. The waitstaff that I really enjoyed talking to was Rigoberto and Erika. They always seemed happy and loved to chat when they had time. The hostess, Diana,tried to teach me a phrase in Spanish each day. I enjoyed learning. The variety at the buffet was simply amazing! The resort was lovely. I’d stay there again.

Very very pushy to buy into the Royal perks club wanting a meeting to sell you into upon arrival. Room had multiple issues. Broken toilet and then poor flushing, no hot water one day. Shower did not drain. Outdated but we were only there to sleep. Food the breakfast was the edible. Lunch was usually skipped Dinner could have been ok if served hot but everything served the whole trip was luke warm. Butler service was 12 stars the only saving grace for this resort to get a 6/10 Overall not a grand experience. Would try anywhere else before staying here again. Disappointing

The resort is in an excellent location. The coastline is long and the sand is soft. Our hotel room was rather dim, and I wish it had an extra lamp. The resort only offers three specialty restaurants and one buffet, leading to long lines at the non-buffet restaurants. I didn't visit the extra-fee steakhouse though. I was unhappy that our family of four was put in two rooms on different floors.

Overall, the experience was very average. The hotel facilities feel quite dated, and the service was generally okay but not very proactive. The biggest downside was the food. The quality was below average and there were often long waits to get seated, with both service and taste falling short. The beach and ocean views were nice, which was a plus, but the hotel itself was quite noisy. Housekeeping starts early and can be loud, and the soundproofing is not great. Overall, it was a very mediocre stay and I would not choose to stay here again next time.

Absolutely terrible from the moment we walked in..they told us we could check in early and then once we were there we couldn't the butler we had was horrible the first 2 days of the butler was okay after that she basically disappeared and left us to figure everything out making reservations on our own then we were forced to sit through 90 minutes of a presentation its another time share pyramid scheme that was over 120 minutes and we had to basically leave because no wasn't an acceptable answer then from the snack bar to dinner the food was terrible the drinks had no alcohol and the food tasted like it was 2 days old already and cold the beach was the only good thing they had it was beautiful but only 1 lifeguard on duty and they were never by the resort so you had to walk an additional 600 to 800 feet once you got to the beach and you couldn't relax in the Cabana because less than every 5 minutes you were literally bothered by vendors that walk the beach nonstop then the resort told us the bus was a buck or two to take into town and they tried charging us 48 dollars (usd/gringo price) then the staff would knock on our door at almost midnight to drop off towels and the the front desk staff made me feel in trouble because we booked an Excursion through another company and that wasn't through the hotel they were very offended and told us that we couldn't do that again if we want to do excursions it has to be made through the hotel basically so they can over charge you the show
