"This hotel was a steal of a deal and for the price we paid we felt we had great experience. The staff were friendly, especially Haipriya who ensured all of our needs were met. We emphasized at check-in that we wanted a clean room and they assured us that we would get one and when we arrived at our room we were not disappointed it was clean comfortable and everything you need for a short stay. There was a desk, a fridge, microwave and a second sink and the bathroom was efficient with a shower built for two. This hotel is great a great stop over spot. The lobby is very beautiful and lots of spots for visiting and and the on-site restaurant seemed really good even though we didn't get a chance to eat there. The parking lot was well lit and I would recommend this hotel stay but I would request to be on the 6th floor as our room in 608 was perfect for what we needed and exceeded our expectations for the price we paid."

Best Western Plus Suites Downtown

"I had a very unpleasant experience during check-in at Best Western Plus Suites Downtown. When I arrived, there were other guests checking in ahead of me. I noticed the front desk staff speaking with them normally, and after their check-in was completed, each of them was given a bottle of water. I do not know whether the water was complimentary or not, but it was clearly being offered to guests during check-in. However, when it was my turn, the only thing I was asked for was my ID. There was no greeting, no explanation, and no communication beyond handing me the room key. I then had to ask why I was not given water like the other guests. Without saying anything, the staff member went to the back, brought out one bottle of water, and simply placed it on the counter without any explanation or apology. This made me feel very uncomfortable and offended. I could not help but wonder whether they assumed I could not speak English, whether they were treating guests differently depending on who they were, or whether this was some form of discrimination. It left me with a very unpleasant impression. I have used Best Western quite often in the past, but this was the first time I felt this bad after checking into one of their hotels. Unless there are no other hotel options available, I do not think I would choose this property again."

Best Western Plus Port O'Call Hotel

"We love staying at the port o call, every time we come to Calgary. We have family here, so we come every summer! The rooms are so spacey and clean. The waterslides and pools are a blast! The staff is always so friendly. The underground parking is so good to have, especially with bad weather. Highly recommend for families or anyone traveling, looking for a nice hotel in Calgary."

Sandman Signature Calgary Downtown Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I spent two nights at the Sandman Signature Calgary Downtown and had a great experience. The staff for uniformly, helpful and cheerful, the bed was very comfortable, and room service was excellent. The only downside is that instead of leaving room service dishes on a tray outside the door to be picked up, hotel guests are asked to walk their dishes a short distance down the hall and deposit them on a table."
