"The staff went all out to make our stay feel the most confortable and welcoming I have ever felt in a hotel. Friendly, knowledgeable, they definitely went the extra mile. The spa, the location, the grounds, all were just stunningly beautiful. Walkable to the center of the shops, restaurants and coffee places. I would live there if I could. It is just an amazing hotel."

Perched above Lake Lugano, this tranquil retreat offers panoramic views and hiking trails through chestnut forests. Take a short drive to explore MASILugano's Italian art collection or unwind at Ascona Beach with its crystal-clear waters.
The Lugano Dante hotel is a great hotel, the location can't be beaten, steps from the funicular and right by the city center, we walked everywhere. This hotel is very generous in terms of taking of customers, free drinks in room mini bar, coffee, espresso, apples, waters in the lobby, make one feel so much like home. Short stroll down the ramp from the main buses and trains. Host brought us to door just down the block and showed us to our little apartment. Kitchen was fully equipped; even a dishwasher. Beautiful corner room with nice view down the alleys. Around the bend from our doorway was a cement patio with flowers to relax. The breakfast was great.

I loved the views and that we had access to amazing grocery store (similar to Whole Foods) with a 15 minute walk (it’s moderate intensity to walk as some of it is uphill.) loved the huge rooms , even with the kitchen and all the amenities of an apartment and of course the balcony!

We arrived at the hotel at a relatively early hour, checked in and left our luggage in the hotel.
After a day of sightseeing in the area we returned to the hotel.
The receptionist took us to the room and only after they entered the room did she say,
"We gave you an upgrade."
We are left speachless, a stunning suite, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and a huge balcony with sunbeds overlooking the wonderful view of Lake Lugano.

This was both the least expensive and our favorite hotel of a two week trip. Quaint, clean, with a lovely lobby, lounge, and dining area. Rooms were of a nice size with absolutely no flaw that we could see. Franco and Michaela hosted us with grace and just the right amount of attention. We departed as fast friends. Our room had a window overlooking the Lake and that was from the side of the hotel. The front room views must be even nicer. Drinks, ice, snacks, nice breakfast, all came...

We were there for a wedding venue. Hotel is lovely although I would not say it’s particularly kid friendly. The beach is very small. Our room was beautiful. The food was quite good. We made a suggestion that they have a ideal list for people who want to spend two or three hours away from the hotel or the region for things to do
