Worst rental of my life.
There were so many problems, but the most egregious was was the broken bed that we were provided that collapsed when my son sat on it. Our best guess is that the single support point (a block of wood, and this was the fanciest bed; the other three mattresses are either stacked on packing pallets or the floor) had been off center for quite a while, leaving the frame unsupported every time it was used until it finally cracked.
Rather than offer to fix it, the owner came at us, called us overweight, and demanded money.
He escalated until we no longer felt safe and left early. Found a great place just up the street—it was clean, airy, welcoming, and twice the size for half as much.
I have the Hungarian BBB involved as well as the 7th District Association of Budapest, and I wish to save you this trouble. The city is wonderful and full of good places to rent. No reason to go here, where everything will be fine until it isn’t, and where the owner will deny and attack when there is a problem.
