Ingledene
A very tired hotel in need of a lot of decoration and updating, hotel also used to house homeless people by the local council not an ideal holiday hotel.
Due to confusion of our original hotel we were stuck with no were to go with a 1 year old and a 2 year old. We saw this place and it cost £195 a night this did not include breakfast. We thought for that price it should be quite a good standard but we were wrong. The owner saw us in said we could use the kitchen which did not even have any dishes in. Then he told us what room and we were in and we had to find our own way to it. No offer to help with anything.
The hole place was dark we got to the room it had bunck beds and a double bed this was fine but they were lumpy even the bunck bed and the buck bed smelt if urine and there was grime and food stuff on the walls not just by the beds but on many walls. There was a lamp this did not work, the window did not shut and the bolt on the bathroom doorwas faling off. The water from the shower trickled out .
I get its high season but i feel that we were riped off big time. We have stayed on many hotels but never one so dirty and uncared for. The owner need to look at his business we will definatley not be returned and would advice that no one else stays here.
Definitely need to sort out their wifi otherwise not bad

value for money
Arrived at hotel and received a warm welcome shown to our room and made a cup of tea with the facilities provided . Clean cups were left each day. We had a very nice stay well worth the money we paid. We would book again.

This was a lovely place to stay only a short 5 minute
walk to the beach.
breakfast was outstanding
The staff are very friendly .
The only small thing was the bed was very squeaky and a bit in the hard side.
We had a 4 person room on the top floor. The beds were all very uncomfortable, the bathroom was very very small (not suitable for a large person) we had to dry ourselves with the door o. The wardrobe in the room nearly feel on top of us when we opened the door. The wall paper was peeling off the walls and the furniture was very tatty and there is too much of it in one room. The room and the guest house was very dated and dark. Only thing good about this place was the breakfast. Not recommended.
Our room was not hoovered when we checked in, there was lots of rubbish under the bed..the fridge door was unscrewed...room was very dusty and not cleaned properly.
The only good thing was the location of the hotel and the breakfast. The staff was helpful enough.
had a top floor room, which wasn't properly cleaned- cobwebs etc. The shower was barely a trickle (though it was hot). Beds were comfy enough and the sheets seemed clean. Breakfast was very very poor- basic reheated food. Didn't even bother to go down on our second morning.
Booked last minute as I had a training course to attend in Bournemouth University the next day.
An accident, and roadworks on the way down made the trip a slow one, and had to phone hubby to ask him to prewarn the staff at Ingledene that I would be there, but arrive late due to hold ups.
Arrived at 10pm to find the manager/owner still there and hadn't locked up. Really nice gesture.
It wasn't until I got to my room that I found a text from my husband with all the details of the door codes etc to let myself in if I'd arrived later than 10pm.
I was so relieved, as I knew the course the next day would be lengthy and complex, but found the welcome to be a relief after a stressful 2 1/2 hour drive that should have taken 1hr 15 mins.
My room was clean, welcoming and perfectly adequate. Best thing on the hottest night of the year were actual working windows that opened beyond 2". There is no risk of me throwing myself or falling out of the window, so I appreciated being able to get as much air as possible!!
Breakfast in the morning was a choice of freshly cooked full English, or a range of French croissants, brioche and other nice things besides cereals.
Taxi into Bournemouth Lansdowne cost me £5 each way, not much difference than paying for an all day car park and having to walk the distance in the 30 degree C heat. With free car parking in the tree lined road, my car kept cool for the return home in the evening.

Decent hotel, convenient location
Nice enough hotel. Easy to find, very near to train station. Easy walk to all the shops and beach which is not very far (20min walk). Walls aren't that thick as you can hear people in the corridors but there was no noise at night and we were only in the hotel to sleep. There was a map of Bournemouth in the room which was helpful.

Perfect for a 2 night stay
We visited Bournemouth to see family and had previously stayed at The Mayfield Guest House a sister of Ingledene. We were pleasantly surprised with Ingledene much nicer than expected. Décor was not too busy, linen and towels in very good condition. The keyless system was brilliant as we didn't have to worry about losing keys just had to remember numbers. Breakfast was very good not greasy and plenty of it with full English, cereal, yogurt, fruit, croissant and brioche. Staff were very friendly. Location is great 20mins from centre and 10mins from coast (walking). Quiet location with parking on the street outside no problem.

Somewhere to geT your head down
Owner was very polite and helpful, quality of accomodation was average but probably in line with what we paid. Would not recommend if you were panning to be in the room a lot, we were down in Bournemouth for beer and football so spent minimum time in room and to be fair it catered for our needs.

Cheap and cheerful
We stayed here to see a show at the Bournemouth Pavilion. The bed felt like it had been stuffed with bricks and we were in agony with our backs. Next time, we will pay the extra for somewhere closer to the pavilion as we spent a fortune on taxis.

Good location with parking
Ideally located for walks into Bournemouth and Boscombe. Overlooking a small park. Stayed here because we wanted to go to the football at Bournemouth and this was ideal as you could walk to the gound in 20 minutes so no worries about parking.

Good stay would recommend
Great hotel for the price, staff attentive. Great breakfast
We only had a one night B&B & found it is a nice pleasant place to stay. It is 20 to 25 minutes walk from the Pier or the town centre, & we are not fast walkers. No problem parking, free roadside area. The breakfast was excellent & lots of it. We would stay here again if in the area.
